Design Historian

Natasha is a design historian with a keen eye for detail, specialising in fashion and dress. Her work sits at the intersection of material culture, craft, and archival research, tracing how garments were made, who made them, and what they reveal about the people and labour behind them.

Combining practical making skills with historical enquiry, she brings a maker's understanding to her research, from 17th-century mantuas to modern guard uniforms. She holds an MA in History of Design from the RCA/V&A (Distinction, Clive Wainwright Prize) and a First Class BA in Costume for Theatre and Screen from UAL Wimbledon. Her work spans archival research at the V&A, exhibition research and guiding at Historic Royal Palaces, and hands-on costume making for TV, theatre, and events.

She is driven to bring history off the page and into people's lives, making it feel engaging and accessible.
